Kayak Event
Silver Lake Poker Run

We are just a few weeks away from our first paddling event of the season—our popular Silver Lake Poker Run!
Family members and guests are welcome to participate. Prizes have been generously donated by local supporters.
Prizes
This year, five prizes will be awarded:
- Best Poker Hand – $25 gift certificate
- Second Best Poker Hand – $15 gift certificate
- Worst Poker Hand – $10 gift certificate
- Youngest Paddler (participant, not rider) – $10 gift certificate
- Most Senior Paddler – $10 gift certificate
All gift certificates have been generously donated by the Eldridge Family Sugar House.
How it Works
Launch from any location you choose and paddle to all five poker chip pickup stations located at the northern end of Silver Lake. Visit them in any order:
- Monument Beach
- Railroad Beach
- Big Island
- Ettinger Point (approximately ¼ mile north of Nichols Beach)
- Nichols Beach
Final Stop
Craig Moreshead’s Dock (adjacent to the north side of Nichols Beach)
Turn in your poker chips and receive one poker card for each unique chip collected.
To improve your hand, each participant may discard up to three cards from their initial hand and draw the same number of replacement cards.
Bonus Opportunity
Again this year, participants can earn an additional card by correctly answering a randomly selected Silver Lake trivia question at Craig Moreshead’s dock. A correct answer allows you to discard one card and draw a replacement, giving you another chance to improve your hand.

Mid-Summer Party

- South Beach
The Mid-Summer Party will be held on Saturday July 25th at the South Beach
Pavillon from 4:30 – 7:00 pm. The rain date will be the following day, at the same time.
Hamburgers, hotdogs and sausage will be provided and grilled for your enjoyment. This was our most popular party last summer with 125 attendees!

Last name beginning N-Z, please bring a dessert
Site Logistics
The town beach parking stickers are required and can be obtained through the Madison Town Hall. Details are on the Town of Madison Website.
